Write a 7-10 sentence reaction to the article citing facts and your own opinion.
In this country, the problem is brutality on women and girls around the globe; acid attacks, bride burnings, sex trafficking and mass rape. Women are the backbones of great countries and they still are even til this day. “Women hold up half the sky,” in the words of a Chinese saying.
One of the stories from the article was about a woman telling another woman's husband to live his wife because she not going to have a son. So the wife took off running and crying. If the man took another wife,, that would leave less money to feed and educate the children.

40 ideas for a Greener World; 5 ideas (REPOST)
Over the week, I practiced; 1, 2, 3, && 5.
1)You'll be more likely to recycle consistently if you set up a recycling area in your kitchen or utility room. Post a list nearby of the items that are accepted for recycling in your local community.
2)Leave grass clippings on the lawn after you mow rather than bagging and throwing them away. This saves energy and landfill space and the grass will decompose and return nutrients to the soil.
3)Turn off the tap while you brush your teeth and shave and you'll save as much as 3,000 gallons per year.
5)if it's sunny outside, be sure to open your blinds to get the full benefit of the most energy-efficient source of light.

Philadelphia Septa
What would you assume about Philadelphia? Explain how these assumptions are both true and false. How can our society improve? Do we need to?
What would you assume about Philadelphia?
I would assume that Philadelphia cares about it's order of time when dealing with business. Meaning no delays, means that people have no reason to complain.
Explain how these assumptions are both true and false.
These assumptions are true because the man said, "I don't want to delay service,.. "
How can our society improve?
Our society can improve by being more aware of a person's need and not of the service's.
Do we need to?
There is always room for improvement!

Quotes!
Respond to ONE of the following quotes on your blog. Find out WHO said it. How does that impact the statement?
- When will our consciences grow so tender that we will act to prevent human misery rather than avenge it?
- How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.
- An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
Martin Luther King Jr.'s Quote: An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
A person can not live unless they know how to not be self centered. A person must rise above their selfish needs to put the concerns of the world, or humans to a higher spot in life. This quote means more now that I know who said it. King was a brilliant man.

Be the change you wish to see in the world
"Be the change you wish to see in the world"
On your blog, explain this statement (6-8 sentences).
The change I want to see is less violence where I live and just overall; the world. People are getting killed day over dumb stuff; stealing and non sense arguments. If I want this change to happen, then I have to part of the difference in the world. Making groups could help reduce violence in different areas. The change that I know that i am not alone can be reduced. If I want something to happen in the world than I have to go for it.

Haiti Video Response;;
On your blog, please post your reaction to the video and ideas for helping/connections to our school efforts.
The video on the Haiti incident, saddens me as a person that hasn't experienced such a tragedy. The people look hopeless and feel horrible. They may need food, medicine and care, but they also need just support. Some suggestion, as a school, may just be to just give like you was a Haiti citizen. It's sad and such a difficult event to process when watching the video.
